Saskia was born in Nicaragua and grew up in Miami. Saskia also worked on Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign and at Cesar Chavez Public Charter Schools in Washington, D.C., where she led the school’s expansion from one stand alone high school to two high school campuses and two middle schools. She spent seven years at the Partnership for Los Angeles Schools, where she worked to reform 17 low-performing LAUSD K-12 schools in Boyle Heights, Watts, and South L.A., through family engagement and strategic partnerships. Saskia came to College Track with more than 17 years of experience in education reform and politics. She recently joined the National team as the Regional Executive Officer, strengthening national and regional collaboration. Region to serve 800 high school and college students and raised more than $12 million to date. During her tenure, Saskia built the regional infrastructure that has enabled the L.A. Saskia joined College Track in 2014 as the founding Regional Executive Director of College Track Los Angeles, where she led the expansion of our program from Boyle Heights to Watts and the Crenshaw District. This work led to a 25-year relationship with four siblings, three of whom are now first-generation college graduates. While at Stanford, Leela was an academic tutor and mentor for middle school students in the I Have a Dream program in East Palo Alto. and a certificate in Public Management from Stanford University. in Biopsychology and went on to earn her M.B.A.

In her first career, Leela was a professional ballet dancer, performing internationally and throughout the country with Hubbard Street Dance Company.Īs a first-generation college graduate, Leela graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Chicago with an A.B. Leela also worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company and following that she was appointed to serve as a White House Fellow in the Clinton Administration. Most recently, she worked at Genentech for nearly a decade. Prior to College Track, Leela held several positions in the private sector in strategy, marketing, and sales. She led this growth by creating a diversified revenue strategy at the national and regional levels and built development operations that will empower the organization to raise $150 million over the next four years-to serve 5,000 students and 1,400 alumni by 2024. During her tenure, Leela has increased fundraising capacity and built the marketing and communication teams to grow annual revenue from $10 million to $30 million. Leela joined College Track in 2013 and currently serves as the Chief Development & Marketing Officer.

She went on to earn a dual master’s degree in Public Affairs and Urban & Regional Planning from the School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. Julia served as a policy analyst in the California Governor’s Office of Education, working to increase access to advanced coursework for all public high school students, and also held positions in the City of San Jose, New Jersey Office of Management & Budget, and the Federal Office of Management & Budget.Īs a first-generation college graduate, Julia earned her B.A. She also worked at the National Equity Project, where she provided financial and strategic leadership as the organization expanded to ten states and transitioned from a 90% grant-funded revenue model to a 70% fee-for-service model. Prior to College Track, Julia was the Vice President of Finance & Administration at CollegeSpring, where she prepared the organization for rapid national expansion. Over a six-year period, Julia built the operational infrastructure to grow the organization from $10 million to $30 million, while ensuring financial sustainability, program quality, and operational effectiveness. As CFOO, she oversees the national Strategic Initiatives, People, Operations, and Finance teams, and leads the strategy for College Track to achieve its 2024 Business Plan objectives. Julia Chih joined College Track in 2014 and served as the Chief Finance & Operating Officer (CFOO) prior to becoming Interim CEO.
